I. Recommendation

It is recommended that the General Superintendent and CEO or his designee enter into a contract with Friedler Constriction Company for the development of Park #564. The contractor was selected pursuant to a Request for Proposal ("RFP") to the Pre-Qualified pool of General Contractors. No work may commence and no payment shall be made to vendor prior to the execution of a written agreement.

Contract Term: Construction to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.

Contract Amount: Not-to-exceed $3,528,087.00. This represents the base bid plus Alternates #4 and #5 to build the north and south bike plaza as part of the development.

Scope of Services: Within the 278 acre park, roughly 40 acres on the southern and eastern sections will be developed into a bike park. This off-road, dirt base bike park is designed for all skill levels. The bicycle improvements were modeled after the highly successful Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colorado. The development will include single track mountain biking trails in addition to many other technical bike features. Additional site work includes utility installation, driveway entrance and landscape improvements.
