To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District

I. Recommendation

It is recommended that the General Superintendent and CEO or her designee enter into a contract with Christy Webber Landscapes for Grant Park and Museum Campus Landscape Maintenance Services. The contractor was selected pursuant to a publicly advertised Request for Proposals. No work may commence and no payment shall be made to the contractor prior to the execution of a written agreement.


II. Award Information

Contractor: Christy Webber & Company d/b/a Christy Webber Landscapes

Company Type: Illinois Business Corporation

Majority Interests: Christy Webber 100%

Contract Term: Two (2) year initial term with three (3) one-year extension options.

Contract Amount: Maintenance services include work that will be performed on regular ongoing basis and work that is variable which will be performed on an as needed basis, and the amount expended for all of this work will not exceed $2,294,924 for the initial two (2) year term or $1,147,462 annually. If extension options are exercised, funding shall be based upon available annual appropriations.


Scope of Services: There are two distinct service areas, Grant Park and Museum Campus, and firms may submit a proposal for one or both service areas.

The awardee(s) shall provide all equipment, materials (expendable and otherwise), tools, labor, services, supervision, transportation, vehicles, fuel, and work, etc. necessary to maintain the landscape(s) of Grant Park and/or Museum Campus in accordance with the terms and conditions of the specification.
