BOND ISSUE NOTIFICATION ACT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Please take notice that the Chicago Park District (the “District”) will hold a public hearing before the Board of Commissioners of the District on February 19, 2020, at 11:25 a.m. The hearing will be held at Warren (Laurence) Park, 6601 North Western Avenue, in the City of Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell general obligation alternate bonds of the District, in one or more series, in the amount of not to exceed $53,000,000 (i) for the purpose of financing capital improvements of the District to provide recreational programs enumerated in Section 7.06 of the Chicago Park District Act and for the payment of expenses incident to the issuance of the bonds, and (ii) for the purpose of financing capital improvement programs of the District for the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing facilities of the District, and for the payment of expenses incident in the issuance of the bonds, all as enumerated in Section 20 of the Chicago Park District Act.
