NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Chicago Park District, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on August 15, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. The hearing will be held in the Eighth Floor Conference Room of the Chicago Park District Headquarters, 541 North Fairbanks, in the City of Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell bonds of the District, in one or more series, in the amount of not to exceed $95,000,000 for the purpose of: (i) financing capital improvement programs for the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing facilities of the District and for the refinancing bonds previously issued to finance the same; (ii) financing harbor and marina improvements; and (iii) financing the payment of expenses incident thereto; all as enumerated in Sections 20 and 26 of the Chicago Park District Act. At the hearing persons desiring to be heard may present written or oral testimony within reasonable time limits.
