To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District:


I. Recommendation

It is recommended that an order be entered authorizing the General Superintendent and CEO or his designee to participate in City of Chicago contract #103871 with Computer Aid, Inc., for Consolidated Application Support Services for the Chicago Park District's Enterprise Applications. Pursuant to Chapter XI, Section D, 7 of the Code of the Chicago Park District, the Director of Purchasing may participate in another governmental entity's contract when doing so is in the best interest of the Chicago Park District. The contractor was selected pursuant to a Request for Proposals publicly advertised by the City of Chicago. No work may commence and no payment shall be made to contractor prior to the execution of a written agreement.

Contract Period: The City's initial five (5) year term expires on February 28, 2018. Upon expiration of the initial term, the Chief Procurement Officer of the City of Chicago may extend the agreement for up to 60 months. Following the extension period, the City of Chicago may extend the agreement for up to an additional 181 days for the purpose of providing continuity of service while procuring a replacement contract.

Authorized Amount: Not-to-exceed $800,000.00 for the remaining period of the initial contract term. Further, the City of Chicago is currently processing the 60 month extension, and when it's exercised, the annual Not-to-Exceed amount will be $1,300,000.00 or $6,500,000.00 for the entire 60 month extension period.
