PROVISIONAL APPROVAL FOR THE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE OBAMA PRESIDENTIAL CENTER VIEWING EVENT AT MIDWAY PLAISANCE

To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District:
I. Recommendation
Pursuant to Chapter VII, Section C.3.c of the Code of the Chicago Park District (the "Code"), the Chief Administrative Officer recommends that the Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District ("Board") provisionally approve the special event permit application for The Obama Presidential Center Viewing Event at Midway Plaisance (the "Application"). A brief overview of the Application may be found on Exhibit A attached hereto. The Application is for a one-day special event.

Contract Type: Special event permit
Authorization: Provisionally approve the Application. Authorize the General Superintendent or their designee ("General Superintendent") to continue the special event application permitting process for the Application. Authorize the General Superintendent to adjust the set-up dates, special event dates and tear down dates for the Application as the General Superintendent deems necessary or advisable.
III. Budget and Financial Information
All special event permit fees collected from the Application shall be deposited as follows:

The Chicago Park District's (the "Park District") special event permitting process allows individuals and organizations to hold special events in Park District parks throughout the City of Chicago (the "City").
