WHEREAS, the Chicago Park District takes great pleasure and pride in recognizing its employees who have dedicated numerous years of service to the Park District and the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, the employees who retired in late 2013 and during 2014 who are being honored on this day have greatly contributed to the Park District's goals, and exemplify the meaning of hard work, commitment, and passion that the Park District and City of Chicago seek in all of its valued employees; and
WHEREAS, these employees have provided invaluable services to park patrons and communities, serving in various positions over their years of service; and
WHEREAS, these employees years of service are a testament to the positive relationship and environment the Park District fosters and provides its employees; then, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the General Superintendent and the Board of Commissioners extend their heartfelt gratitude to these valued employees for their years of dedication and commitment to the Chicago Park District and to the citizens of the City of Chicago, and sincerely wish them success, good health, and happiness as they enter the next chapter of their lives.
