To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of Chicago Park District:

I. Recommendation

Pursuant to Chapter 11, Section D.7 of the Code of the Chicago Park District, the Director of Facility Management and the Director of Purchasing recommend that an order be entered authorizing the General Superintendent and CEO or their designee to join in the City of Chicago's contract #114541, (SPEC #738719) with EJM Engineering, Inc., dba TranSmart, LLC. for professional engineering services for power distribution desig, in the amount not to exceed $800,000.

This is a DUR (Depends Upon Requirements) Contract, where the actual annual spending for the initial contract term and any extension term is determined based on the District's identified needs and which is authorized by annual appropriation and subject to each year's budget.

Scope of Services: Purchase of power distribution design engineering services for utility improvements.
Compliance
Goals: This is a Target Market contract where bidding was restricted to local certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE), and joint ventures consisting exclusively of MBE's, WBE's, or both. The proposal for this authorization includes 100% MBE participation with TranSmart, LLC. as a MBE self-preforming vendor, and 0% WBE participation.
